Shri K. J. Polytechnic, Bharuch, running under the aegis of Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Gujarat, has the unique distinction of being one of the oldest institutes imparting the Best Quality Technical Education since 1961.

Presently, SKJP offers AICTE and GTU approved Diploma Engineering Programs in 09 Programmes of Engineering ranging from Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Renewable Energy, Environmental Engineering along with Computer Aided Costume Design and Dress Making. Sprawling over 15 acres of lush green serene campus, it possesses well qualified faculty members, good infrastructure and well-equipped classrooms, workshop and laboratories. It aims to empower Technical Education at par with National and International Standards by implementing the process of National Board of Accreditation

It provides its more than 3000 students and 116 faculty and total 150 staff members with a wide range of curricular as well as extra-curricular activities leading to their Holistic Development. In line with the same, the institute has been pioneer in establishing Equal Opportunity Cell under RUSA (Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan) – an initiative by MHRD along with AICTE prescribed several other cells such as Women Empowerment Cell, Entrepreneur Development Cell, Grievance Redressal Cell, Training & Placement Cell, Special SC/ST Cell, IQAC Cell, Anti-Ragging Cell, ISTE Chapter Cell, Alumni Association etc. The institute always supports all student-centric initiatives of GOG & GOI either by virtue of being a nodal centre for various scholarships for SC/ST, OBC, and Minorities, along with Mukhya Mantri Swawlamban Yojna and Gyanodaya or by actively contributing to SSIP (Student Start-up Innovation Program), Mukhyamantri Apprentice Scheme, Rojgar Mela (Job Fair), Finishing School Program, PMKY (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana), GKS, AISHE etc.
