The Department of Computer Aided Costume Design & Dress Making (CACD & DM) at Shri K. J. Polytechnic, Bharuch was established in the year 1991, specifically designed to empower girl students with technical and creative skills in the field of fashion and textiles. It is the only government institute in the southern region of Gujarat offering this specialized program, making it a unique and valuable center for fashion education.Since its inception, the department has focused on delivering quality education aligned with requirements of the textile and apparel industry.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

The diploma programme in C.A.C.D.& D.M. will develop students to: -

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

Upon completion of Diploma in C.A.C.D. & D.M., Student will be able to: -

[PSO1] Design textiles and fashion garments using CAD software, incorporating traditional textiles and historical clothing elements into creative design solutions.

[PSO2] Develop finished garments from their designs using appropriate construction techniques and show the ability to take up small-scale entrepreneurial activities while following ethical practices.
