The Department of Chemical Engineering at Shri K. J. Polytechnic has been nurturing skilled diploma engineers since 1984. Located in the industrial hub of Bharuch, near major industrial estates such as Ankleshwar, Jhagadia, Dahej, and Panoli, the department offers a dynamic three-year diploma program affiliated with Gujarat Technological University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education. The department combines strong academic foundations with practical exposure through modern laboratories, industrial visits, projects, and industry interaction. With experienced faculty members and a focus on innovation, technical skills, and professional ethics, the department prepares students to meet the growing demands of the chemical and allied industries.

It’s a privilege to be part of an institution that has empowered young technologists since 1961. At the basin of river Narmada, and strategically boosted by several industrial estates such as Ankleswar, Jhagadia, Dahej and Panoli, Chemical Engineering Department is standing tall since 1984. Our dynamic Diploma program (3 years, GTU-affiliated) blends rigorous academics with hands-on practice. Every batch undertakes challenging projects – applying what you learn to solve real industrial problems.We boast state-of-the-art labs – from fluid-flow and heat/mass transfer labs to petroleum technology – where you will turn theory into experience. Our faculty, all highly qualified, are mentors who inspire innovation and critical thinking. They stay current with the latest science and technology, ensuring that the course content is modern and relevant. Through frequent industry visits and industry tie-ups (e.g. MoUs with local companies), you gain direct exposure to real chemical plants.
